America’s 250th Birthday in Miami: 5 Top Spots to Watch Fireworks

This Fourth of July is one for the history books. On Saturday, July 4, 2026, America celebrates its 250th birthday, and Miami is ready to party the way only Miami can, with waterfront views, live music, neighborhood energy, and fireworks lighting up the sky from the ocean to Biscayne Bay.

The best part is that every neighborhood celebrates a little differently. Some spots are big and loud, others feel like a small-town picnic, and a few give you a classic Miami skyline view. Here are five top spots to watch the fireworks and celebrate America’s 250th in Miami.

1. South Beach: Lummus Park & Ocean Drive

South Beach brings the glamour. The Ocean Drive Association, together with the City of Miami Beach and the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, hosts its Independence Day Fireworks & Patriotic Concert at Ocean Drive and 12th Street. The Miami Beach Classical Music Festival orchestra starts playing in Lummus Park at 8:30 PM, and the fireworks begin over the ocean at 9 PM. Bring a beach chair, a blanket, and a picnic, or reserve a table at one of the outdoor restaurants on Ocean Drive. Glass, Styrofoam, alcohol, drones, and personal fireworks are not allowed. If you prefer a family scene farther north, North Beach has its own celebration at Altos Del Mar Park, with a drone and fireworks show at 76th Street, also at 9 PM.

2. Downtown Miami: Bayfront Park & Bayside Marketplace

For the biggest party in the city, head downtown. Bayfront Park hosts 250 United: America’s 250th Celebration, a free all-day event from 1 PM to midnight with an RSVP required. The lineup includes Shaggy, Ashanti, Ja Rule, The Fray, 112, and Cuban-American singer Willy Chirino, plus a FIFA World Cup fan zone, a drone show over the water, and fireworks at midnight. Space is limited, so arrive early and expect big crowds along the waterfront between Bayfront Park and Bayside Marketplace.

3. Key Biscayne: Crandon Boulevard & Village Green

Key Biscayne feels like a hometown Fourth of July. The island’s 67th annual parade starts at 11 AM along Crandon Boulevard, and the Rotary Club’s Liberty Grill & Picnic takes over the Village Green with hamburgers, hot dogs, and refreshments. At 9 PM, a 25-minute fireworks show by Fireworks by Grucci lights up the sky off the beach behind the Key Biscayne Beach Club, with the music simulcast on 88.9 FM WDNA.

4. Coral Gables: The Biltmore Hotel

Coral Gables celebrates on the grounds of the historic Biltmore Hotel. The free event opens at 5 PM, the Greater Miami Symphonic Band performs at 7 PM, and a special America 250 drone show followed by fireworks begins at 9 PM. The city recommends arriving by bike, with free bike valet, or using the limited free parking at Municipal Garages 2 and 4 and the trolley shuttle from City Hall. Leave the glass, grills, pets, tents, and sparklers at home.

5. Coconut Grove: Peacock Park & Regatta Grove

Miami’s original neighborhood brings a relaxed, bayfront vibe. Red, White & Grove: 250 United takes place at Peacock Park from 5 PM, with live music from Tony Succar & Band and Orlando Mendez, a Taste of the Grove food area, family activities, and a fireworks finale over Biscayne Bay around 9 PM. It is free with an RSVP. Nearby, Regatta Grove hosts an all-day Independence Day celebration starting at noon, also free with an RSVP.

A few local tips: July in Miami is hot, so bring water, sunscreen, and a hat, and plan for an afternoon rain shower. Traffic and parking will be busy everywhere, so rideshare, trolleys, and bikes are your friends. Always check the official event pages before you go, because schedules can change.

Want to make it a full holiday weekend? Spend the day exploring the neighborhoods that make Miami special before the fireworks start.
