Thanksgiving in Miami: Family-Friendly Food Tours, Culture & Memories
Thanksgiving is all about family, food, and gratitude, and Miami is a wonderful place to celebrate all three. This year Thanksgiving falls on Thursday, November 26, 2026, and many families will be looking for something special to do together before or after the turkey.
One of the best answers is a food and culture walking tour. It gets everyone out of the house, it keeps the conversation going, and it gives every generation something to enjoy. Grandparents enjoy the history, parents enjoy the food and culture, and kids enjoy the colors, the tastings, and exploring a new neighborhood.
Our Little Havana Food, Art & Culture Experience is a great fit for families. It is a shared walking tour on Calle Ocho that runs daily at 11 AM and 3 PM, and kids are part of the fun. Tickets are $64.95 for adults and $49.95 for children ages 1 to 12. The tour covers about half a mile in roughly 2.5 hours, so there is plenty of time to stop, taste, and look around without rushing.
Along the way, families taste fresh sugarcane juice at El Pinareño Fruit Market, a croqueta at Party Cake Bakery, a beef empanada at El Pub, and a Cuban sandwich at Cubata, plus a sweet stop at Azúcar Ice Cream Shop. Kids can watch locals play dominoes at Domino Park, see cigars being hand rolled, and take photos with classic 1950s cars at Havana Collection. It is a fun way to show children that food is culture, and that every dish has a story.
For families who want the whole experience to themselves, our private tours are a perfect choice:
- Wynwood Art & Graffiti Experience – A private walk through Miami’s street art district, with general admission to the Wynwood Walls included and a hands-on moment where you can pick up a spray can and learn street art techniques.
- Miami Beach Art Deco, History & Culture Experience – A private 1.5 to 2 hour walk from Washington Avenue through Collins Avenue, finishing on Ocean Drive, with pacing customized to your group.
Both private tours are $125 per person with a 2-person minimum and are scheduled by appointment, so you can choose a day and time that works around your family’s holiday plans.
Staying for the long weekend? The day after Thanksgiving, Friday, November 27, is also the date of Viernes Culturales in Little Havana, the monthly art, music, and culture festival on Calle Ocho that starts at noon. Join our 11 AM tour and then stay to enjoy the music, artists, and street energy. Check the Viernes Culturales website before you go, since details can change.
Holiday plans can change quickly, so we keep things simple: you can cancel for free up to 24 hours before your tour. Check the booking calendar for holiday-week availability, and book early if you are traveling with a large group.
