Miami Spice Season: Restaurant Deals, Local Flavors & How to Taste the City
August in Miami means two things: the heat is on, and so is Miami Spice. Every summer, Miami Spice Restaurant Months give locals and visitors a delicious reason to explore the city’s restaurants, and 2026 is a special year because the program is celebrating its 25th edition.
Miami Spice runs from August 1 through September 30, 2026, with three-course prix-fixe menus at a minimum of 30% savings at more than 300 participating restaurants. Brunch and lunch menus are priced at $40, dinner menus range from $50 to $65, and a new Miami Spice Reserve tier offers elevated menus starting at $95. The program started in 2002 to support restaurants during the quieter summer months.
What makes Miami Spice so much fun is that it covers the whole city. In Little Havana, the participating restaurants include Cafe La Trova, Sala’o Cuban Restaurant & Bar, Calle Dragones, and Tin Tin. In Wynwood, you can find spots like Bakan, Kyu, Pastis, and Uchi Miami. On Miami Beach, the list includes classics like Joe’s Stone Crab, News Cafe, and Havana 1957 on Ocean Drive. Menus and participating restaurants can change, so always check miamispice.com before you book a table.
Miami Spice is perfect for a sit-down meal, but Miami’s food story starts long before dinner, at a ventanita, a bakery counter, or a fruit stand. A food and culture tour is a great way to begin your Miami Spice adventure: you taste the city, learn what you are eating, and leave with ideas for where to eat next.
On our Little Havana Food, Art & Culture Experience, guests taste fresh guarapo at El Pinareño Fruit Market, a ham croqueta and Cuban colada at Party Cake Bakery, a beef empanada at El Pub, and a Cuban sandwich with a mojito at Cubata, while learning the history behind Calle Ocho. It is a shared tour that runs daily at 11 AM and 3 PM, and solo travelers are always welcome.
Beating the heat is part of planning any summer day in Miami. Wear light clothes and comfortable shoes, bring sunglasses and sunscreen, drink plenty of water, and leave room in your schedule for a quick afternoon rain shower. Choosing a tour time that fits your day, and a route with tasting stops and cold drinks along the way, makes the summer much easier to enjoy.
For a private experience, pair the Wynwood Art & Graffiti Experience with a Miami Spice lunch in Wynwood. Your general admission to the Wynwood Walls is included. Or start your evening with the Miami Beach Art Deco, History & Culture Experience, a private 1.5 to 2 hour walk from Washington Avenue through Collins Avenue to Ocean Drive, and then sit down for a Miami Spice dinner nearby.
